Sated Loneliness

This is a scene from my fantasy novel with my female protagonist, Takashi Sato, and a supporting character, Rai Matapang. To say anything more would be spoilers.

As I wrote the scene, I saw the picture. It is strange to not only be able to imagine a snapshot of a scene, but be able to see it. Therefore, I could not resist painting it, even though I'm not comfortable drawing people kissing. Aside from the comfort level, I discovered how difficult it is to draw kissing in any perspective other than in profile. The ergonomics of it astound me.
